Friends, as I look around at the world today, I can’t help but feel a deep stirring in my spirit. It feels like we are standing on the edge of something incredible—a powerful, worldwide revival that is awakening hearts, especially among the younger generations.

This isn’t just a fleeting trend or a temporary spike. It’s a divine resurgence. All over the globe, people are turning back to the Bible, churches are filling up, and a new generation is seeking Jesus like never before.

As followers of Christ, this is our moment. We have to answer God’s call to be disciples for Him, just as He commanded in the Great Commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). But let’s be real for a second—making disciples of all nations starts right here, in our own backyards. It begins when we focus on our local communities, on the people we see every single day.

God is calling us to be a light for Him, shining His love in the ordinary, everyday moments. No grand stages or massive platforms are needed. It’s about being faithful in the small things—inviting a neighbor to church, sharing a piece of Scripture over coffee, and living out our faith with genuine, messy authenticity.

God is moving on a global scale, and this isn’t just a feeling I have. The research and data I’ve uncovered confirm that this revival is real, and it’s happening right now.

The Bible is Making a Comeback

First off, the surge in people engaging with the Bible is undeniable, and it’s hitting Gen Z and Millennials in a powerful way.

  • The American Bible Society’s State of the Bible USA 2025 report shows that Bible engagement is rising significantly. This year, 11 million more Americans are reading the Bible compared to last year. The biggest jumps are among Gen Z (up from 11% to 15%) and Millennials (up from 12% to 17%). The study links this rise to higher human flourishing, less stress, and more hope—especially among young men.
  • Globally, the Patmos World Bible Attitudes Survey (2025), which involved over 90,000 people, reveals that faith is the norm, challenging the old assumption of secular decline.
  • In the UK, Bible sales have surged an incredible 87% from 2019–2024, a trend largely driven by Gen Z seeking meaning and support for their mental health. Even in Russia, Bible sales grew 50% in 2024 alone.

Churches Are Filling Up Again

It’s not just Bibles being opened; church attendance is exploding, particularly among young people.

  • The UK’s Quiet Revival Report (2025) shows a staggering 50% rise in overall monthly church attendance in just six years. For 18–24-year-olds, the rate has quadrupled, jumping from 4% to 16%, with young men leading the way at 21% attendance. This is reversing decades of decline.
  • In the US, Barna’s State of the Church 2025 study reports that belief in and commitment to Jesus are on the rise. Over the last six years, commitment among Gen Z men is up 15 points, and for Millennial men, it’s up 19 points.
  • Major researchers like Pew Research (2025) and Lifeway Research (2025) confirm this trend, noting a stabilization in attendance and urging churches to focus on building community for this hungry generation.

The Unmistakable Catholic Boom

Another clear sign of this revival is the return to tradition, with Gen Z flocking to the Catholic Church.

  • A Harvard study in the US shows a 6% rise in Gen Z identifying as Catholic from 2022–2023, as they seek to combat loneliness through faith.
  • In the UK, there are now twice as many Catholics as Anglicans among Gen Z, with 27% of all young churchgoers identifying as Catholic.
  • France saw a record-breaking 10,384 adult baptisms at Easter in 2025—a 45% increase from the previous year, led primarily by young adults.

And the evidence just keeps piling up from sources like Youth For Christ, the Theos Think Tank, City Journal, and Carey Nieuwhof, all pointing to the same conclusion: young people are driving a resurgence of faith in the Western world, fueled by a deep spiritual hunger and a search for truth in an anxious world.

It’s Our Turn to Join In

This data isn’t just a collection of interesting numbers—it’s tangible evidence of God’s hand at work in our time. We, as Christians, cannot afford to sit on the sidelines and just watch it happen.

God is calling you.

Answer the call to disciple those in your local community. Be the light in your neighborhood, your workplace, your gym, or your school. You don’t need a perfect script or all the answers. Just be real. Invite someone to church. Share your story of what God has done in your life.

Live out the words of Romans 12:9-10: “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”

The revival is here. Let’s join God in what He is doing and watch as our communities are transformed for His glory.
